Akash Restaurant in Beverley

It was heaven on a plate for us adults but the child's selection was quite poor.

I had been recommended to try Akash ,very disappointed so over salted spoilt my meal no go again

A lovely place to eat. The food was out of this world and plenty of it. Very cheap for what we got. Excellent customer service. Will definitely be returning soon!

I 've been here on so many occasions and the service wasnt to fault the waiters and waitresses were welcoming all the time and the food wasnt to fault have enjoyed every time I've been there

Food was absolutely faultless. Loved everything we had. Really quick service and delicious flavours. Priced just right with a very extensive menu. Will definitely return when we're next in Beverley. The older Asian man that served us was in what seemed a very bad mood. His demeanor was rushed and angry. Banging things on tables and clearing things very quickly. Luckily there was a lady that was also serving and taking orders who was lovely and very professional. Luckily for her she made the experience much more bearable. Well done

Not really sure what's Happened here. After visiting fairly regularly for twenty years, all the regular staff appear to have gone. The booking for 12 I made two weeks before wasn't noted - but fortunately there was space for us. The food was much less exciting than before. We were persuaded to go for a set meal as it made it easier for the kitchen, even though most of us wanted our own thing. The Cobra was good though.

Previous posts talk about a very doughy nan- I can confirm, however explain that this is because they unwittingly wrap it in a plastic bag- it's actually relatively good.The curry is terribly bland and quite oily - impressive to make a jalfrazi bland! The chicken was classic battery farmed, flavourless rubbish; it had not been seared or marinated, some had dissolved into the sauce.Veg pilau rice was also bland.Driver and lady who took my order didn't fill me with confidence; they later backed this up.The other curry house in town didn't even make it to delivery. They also told me it would take 20mins to get to me from order. I live 10mins away which gives me zero confidence in the freshness of their produce.All in all, probably best to pass on curry round here.

Hadn't been here for a while and found the place very swish indeed. The waiting staff were wonderful and very helpful and friendly. Drinks reasonably priced and the food was very good. Slight mix up with the breads order but good to say that it was quickly put right. I would happily visit again.

Our 3rd visit to the Akash and another top notch meal was had by all. A pleasant welcome, quick service and a good, varied menu. We've had a range of main meals and every one has been excellent. Naan breads very tasty and straight out of the tandoor. We will be back again soon.

Myself and wife popped in whilst passing on a Sat evening and had a lovely meal. The service was excellent with the main meals ready as soon as we had finnished our starters. Well done we will be returning!

Heard it had changed hands and the food was not great as it had been, however we found this not to be true...food was delicious and the staff friendly and efficient.

Half the order was missing when it arrived, we rang back and complained and they said they would send the missing parts of the order straight round. When it came again there was still some of the order missing and the delivery man tried to offer us a £5 refund, bearing in mind we originally placed a £60 order.

This has become the worst restaurant ever known - the positive reviews do not belong to the new owners who know nothing about true Indian cuisine.* Staff didn't seem very smart, they were disorganized and inefficient* Waiting for the food took way too long (an hour and a half)* It took them ages to even notice we hadn't even been served yet* Starters seemed a bit cold and pretty bland* Rice was so dry, overcooked and tasted really cheap* Meat tasted like it had gone off and gave us stomach ache* Lousy compensation was offered

When we arrived we all commented on how cold it was in the restaurant , we placed our order bearing in mind there was only 6 people in the restaurant they got 1 of our dishes wrong they soon replaced it when we told them the mistake but it still wasn't anything like what we had orderd .. the food was served in plastic bowls which didnt keep the food hot and all our dishes lacked any flavour it wasnt like any indian meal we had ever had it was bland and tastless and we would never eat there again .. what a waste of money

Had table booked here. We waited 30 minutes just to get our drinks order taken, then had to chase them up after 15 minutes with no sign of our drinks. Waited an hour and a half for our food before we got fed up and left. Customer service non existant no apology and wanted us to pay for the meal we never got. Was my first visit and my last. I work in retail myself and if I had their attitude towards customers I would be getting my p45.

Best Curry House in Beverley. Great food, great service, very reasonable price. Same naff beer that all Indian Restaurants have (Cobra!). I've been to Mumbai and I know for a fact they have an up and coming real ale scene. Time to get some of it over here 😂

Visited for the first time and was impressed with the food and the service. We were well attended to by polite and courteous staff. Will definitely eat there again.

Great tasting food with real homemade authentic breads to accompany

We keep trying new dishes each time we go and they don't disappoint. Their food is amazing and the service is excellent. Highly recommended. Will be back soon

Unfortunately after dining here previously sometime ago I brought a couple of friends. To my dismay I was very disappointed in the whole experience. Form walking in the place felt cold and unappealing. The chairs where very worn and the leather effect was peeling off. The cutlery was bent and also very worn. After receiving the wrong meal we were very disappointed with the quality. All 4 meals tasted the same and although the menu said very hot this was not the case. All meals tasted bland and the same. Although we complained we were given a discount but on a positive note the popadoms and pickles were nice.

Always very pleasant atmosphere and the staff can't do enough for you. The food is the best in beverley and hull maybe. As I know sooooo much about this cuisine as I've been vegi for 27 yrs. I have enjoyed many years sharing happy memories with this restaurant. .they should be proud. .thank you and all the success

Food here is amazing! I've had takeaway a few times which has always been good but this time we decided to tr the restaurant. It's upstairs and is quite small but the standard is high and the staff are lovely
